The following is from Kathleen Parker who received the information "from the artist when he restored one of his own paintings for me that I bought through a private sale. That large painting was dirty and I was disappointed in the cleaning job a local gallery did.  An appraiser identified the artist for me, (his signature was illegible to me).  I contacted Mr. Gruppe by phone and shipped the artwork to him in CT.  Since then, I have purchased two more of his paintings."
